— 横浜国際映画祭 2025｜前夜祭 —
2025年、横浜で開催された「横浜国際映画祭」の前夜祭にて、華道家・美榮（BIEI）が会場装花・ブーケを担当いたしました。
本イベントは、国内外から映画関係者が集う華やかな舞台でありながらも、文化と表現の交差点として非常に繊細な空気を持つ場でした。
装花のテーマは《White & Black》──
主催者であるTravis氏がマイケル・ジャクソンと深い縁を持つ人物であることにちなみ、マイケルの名曲「Black or White」から着想を得て、「二元の対話」を軸にしたミニブーケを数百本制作。
それぞれが異なる“白と黒”のバランスで構成され、多様性・相互理解・芸術の無境界性を象徴しました。
訪れたゲストの手に一つずつ届けられたこのブーケは、単なる装飾ではなく「問いかけ」として存在することを意図しています。

映画と同じく、花もまたメッセージを持つメディアであると信じています。

At the 2025 Yokohama International Film Festival’s Eve Ceremony, Japanese Ikebana artist BIEI created a floral installation that transcended beauty and entered the realm of philosophy.
The theme was “White & Black”, a poetic homage to Michael Jackson’s “Black or White”, inspired by Travis, the event’s host and a close collaborator of Jackson.
Hundreds of mini-bouquets—each uniquely balanced in black and white—were gifted to every guest.
These floral pieces symbolized not contrast, but coexistence, mutual understanding, and the borderless language of art.
“Not to commemorate, but to question.”
BIEI believes that flowers, like cinema, are not just for admiration—but for awakening thought.
They are a medium of quiet reflection, a soft yet powerful invitation to feel and think.
Through this gesture, the space was transformed—becoming not just a celebration, but a moment of shared contemplation.
