歌舞伎と世界的アーティストの共演。それは、奇跡であり、同時に必然でもありました。
幾百年にわたり受け継がれてきた日本の伝統芸能「歌舞伎」。
その歴史の只中で、新しい表現が立ち上がる瞬間に立ち会いました。
京都にて開催された特別公演
KABUKI ARTLIVE「THE BUSHIDO -舞志道-」
本公演は、歌舞伎俳優 市川團十郎 と世界的ダンサー・振付家 KENT MORI による共演。
日本文化と世界的パフォーマンスが交差する象徴的な舞台となり、
華道家 美榮（BIEI）は、この公演のメインエントランス空間装飾を担当いたしました。

A collaboration between Kabuki and a world-renowned artist.
Kabuki, one of Japan’s most historic performing arts, has been passed down for centuries.
Within this tradition, a rare and powerful expression emerged.
The special performance “KABUKI ARTLIVE – THE BUSHIDO” was held in Kyoto.
The stage brought together
Kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjuro
and world-renowned dancer and choreographer KENT MORI.
Their collaboration represented a symbolic meeting point between Japanese cultural heritage and global contemporary performance.
Ikebana artist and cultural entrepreneur BIEI was responsible for the main entrance spatial installation of the event.
舞台は、幕が上がる前から始まっている
舞台芸術は、幕が上がった瞬間から始まるのではありません。
観客が会場に足を踏み入れたその瞬間、
すでに物語は始まっています。
入口という場所は、日常から非日常へと移行する境界。
胸の奥が静かに張りつめるような。
まるで時間の層に触れるような。
そんな「入口」をつくりたいと思いました。
The stage begins before the curtain rises
A stage does not begin when the curtain rises.
It begins the moment the audience enters the space.
The entrance is a threshold between everyday life and another dimension of time.
A place where the air becomes slightly tense,
where one feels as if touching layers of history.
That is the kind of entrance space I wanted to create.
伝統と革新が交差する空間
今回の空間装飾では
- 伝統と革新
- 静と動
- 精神性と身体性
という、日本文化が持つ二つの力の交差を意識しました。
相反するものがせめぎ合い、そして溶け合うことで生まれる新しい表現。
その象徴として、舞台へと導く入口の空間を構成しました。

Stillness and movement
Spirituality and physicality
These opposing energies collide and merge, creating new forms of expression.
The entrance space became the symbolic gateway to the performance.
日本文化が世界へ向かう瞬間
歌舞伎は、日本が誇る文化です。
そして今、その文化は新しい表現と出会いながら世界へと広がり続けています。
その歴史の一頁に空間表現という形で関われたことを心から誇りに思います。

Kabuki is one of Japan’s most treasured cultural arts.
Today, as it encounters new forms of expression, it continues to expand beyond its borders and reach audiences around the world.
I am deeply honored to have contributed to a page of this evolving history through spatial design.
