— JAPAN to the World｜舞台「かぐや姫」装花・空間演出 —
世界的ダンサー・ケント・モリ氏が率いるプロジェクト《JAPAN to the World》。
この壮大な企画の一環として上演された舞台作品「かぐや姫」に、華道家・美榮（BIEI）が舞台装飾・空間演出で参加いたしました。
テーマは、日本最古の物語ともいわれる『竹取物語』＝「かぐや姫」。
ダンス、太鼓、光、映像、そしていけばな──
あらゆる日本文化が交差し、宇宙と地上、日本の過去と未来をつなぐような幻想的な舞台空間が創出されました。
美榮は、竹あかりの第一人者である池田親生氏と連動し、竹や流木、自然素材を用いた植物表現を空間に落とし込みました。
静と動、伝統と革新が交差する舞台において、植物による“無言の語り”を担う重要な役割を果たしました。
花は語らない。でも、語りかける。
そしていま、日本文化は世界へと解き放たれようとしている。

JAPAN to the World is a visionary project led by world-renowned dancer Kent Mori, aiming to reimagine and broadcast Japanese culture to a global audience.
In the stage production “Princess Kaguya”, based on Japan’s oldest tale Taketori Monogatari, BIEI participated as the floral and spatial designer.
The performance was a dynamic fusion of dance, taiko drums, light, video, bamboo lanterns, and Ikebana—blending ancient Japan with future visions.
Together with Shinobu Ikeda, master of bamboo light art, BIEI infused the stage with natural floral installations that harmonized with sound, movement, and rhythm.
The result was an ethereal space that bridged heaven and earth, silence and motion, tradition and innovation.
Flowers do not speak, but they speak to us.
In this space, Japanese culture bloomed again—this time, for the world.
